COMMUNITY CARE

Community Care encompasses all ministries that connect James River Assembly with the greater Springfield metro area. The goal of Community Care is to share available resources with those outside of our congregation.

Recent Community Care outreaches include: tornado relief, construction projects and car care for widows, single moms, and wives of deployed military, renovating local public schools, delivering Thanksgiving food baskets, providing gifts for Title 1 school students and displaced children, as well as offering the onsite One Heart food pantries at both campuses.

BENEVOLENCE

The Benevolence ministry provides tangible help to the James River Assembly family and community, specifically, single moms, widows, wives of deployed troops and spouses of deployed troops, and families who have experienced health emergencies or economic tragedy. The Benevolence ministry also assists people with sound financial counsel coupled with wisdom for living.

ONE HEART

Based on Acts 4:32, the purpose of One Heart is to minister to those in need of essential food and personal items. Non-perishable groceries and family essential items are collected from the James River Assembly family and distributed to families in need on Sunday’s and Wednesday’s during services. Be a part of the blessing … through One Heart!

CONSTRUCTORS IN ACTION

Constructors In Action (CIA) assist James River Assembly's single moms, widows, spouses of deployed troops, and families in crisis with minor home repairs. They also serve in major outreach events, local missions trips and retreat center workdays.

MECHANICS IN ACTION

Mechanics In Action is a ministry focused on meeting the vehicle maintenance needs of single moms, widows and families in need.
